Skin has been the only product that has always accompanied humans since the emergence of man on earth. Leather is one of the oldest natural sources for humans. Archaeologists have estimated leather products to more than 33 centuries.

Leather production is a converting industry by which the animal wastes in slaughterhouses can be converted to valuable products. Chemists entering this field, leather production moved from traditional mode to the industrial mode.
